My experience here has been amazing at every step. I was happy to find that after they had the vehicle I was buying in the shop for inspection and detailing, they did a bit over $1500 worth of repairs, and my price hadn't changed. When I woke up the next day with the check engine light on, I was really concerned, but I took it back in and they handled everything without charging me a dime. They could have - I bought it "as is" - but they didn't. When I received my vanity plate in the mail, and it wasn't a vanity, they could have left me to my own devices. They didn't. They took all the details and said "we'll contact DMV tomorrow and get back to you." I hate buying cars. Car lots and salesmen are the shadiest people I ever have to deal with. I didn't feel that way at all working with Ken and company at Sunwest. I can't recommend them strongly enough. I don't give 5 stars lightly, and they've absolutely earned it.
We had a check engine light come on when we were on vacation. They got us in right away, diagnosed the problem and got us out the door in a timely manner. Since the part wasn’t in stock and it would be safe to drive home and get it fixed at home, they didn’t even charge us to diagnose the issue. This is the kind of neighborhood service that is rarely seen and is SO appreciated. I definitely recommend Sunset Honda Mazda and appreciate their help in what was a stressful situation while on vacation.
My GMC terrains motor broke and GM and Power refused to fix their defective engine which forced me to move away from GM vehicles to another brand. Honda was super easy and I got into my new pilot and I love my new car. I highly recommend Sunwest Honda
Ken Wood was so professional, patient, and very fair with our car sale! Coastal life can sometimes be hard with limited options for some services. But, Sunwest and Ken would be top notch in any city and we are glad they are here in Newport.
I saw a vehicle posted online that didn’t have any pictures so I called the dealer and got in touch with Ken. From the get go, he was very helpful with getting pictures, videos and answering my questions. I’m out of state, so I needed that information as I couldn’t just drive down the street and take a look at the vehicle. Ken let me know that they were not going to fix the car due to its age and were going to wholesale it, but if I wanted to buy it, I could. I ended up driving down to look at the vehicle in person so that I could make an informed decision. Ken was off that weekend, but when I got to the dealership, Teal helped me out and went on a test drive with me. He was very professional and helpful, even though he wasn’t the salesman that was helping me. Unfortunately I passed on that vehicle due to the repairs, but if you’re looking for a vehicle, I’d recommend Ken or Teal in a heartbeat. Both of them were friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. Sorry things didn’t work out gentlemen, but I wanted to thank you for the outstanding service and help you both provided!
